Iwas just thinking about this recently, if a spacecraft reached the furthest point of our universe would it pass through a "wall" so to speak into jus an empty abyss or is there something more beyond the realms of our universe, just lookin for opinions

You're making the assumption that the universe is a 3D space inside of another 3D space and thus has an edge.

By many theories, there isn't an edge. Think of it like moving around on the surface of a balloon in a 2D universe. No matter which way you go along the surface there is no edge to reach, you just keep moving around or circling back.

There is no definite answer for the geometry of the universe. We just don't know. But the best scientific guess is a closed universe with no "edge".
