Everton: Moyes makes Beattie u-turn

Everton manager David Moyes has done a U-Turn and admitted James Beattie deserved to be sent off against Chelsea.

The England striker was shown a straight red card for head-butting Chelsea defender William Gallas early on in his side's 1-0 defeat on Saturday. Moyes initially excused Beattie of any wrongdoing, claiming Gallas went to ground too easily. However, Moyes has had a change of heart after reviewing video evidence and admitted the sending off was warranted and he will now discipline the striker for the offence.
