John McEnroe reached the final of the Honda Challenge for the first time in four years with a 6-4 7-5 victory over Michael Stich.

The American had lost his last two matches against the German, including here at the Royal Albert Hall last year, and he was delighted at gaining revenge and reaching the final.

Three-time Wimbledon champion John McEnroe notched up another title in London today as he won the Honda Challenge final at the Royal Albert Hall.

The American beat Guy Forget of France 7-6 6-2 this afternoon to clinch the trophy after seeing off Michael Stich in Saturday's semi-final.

McEnroe, 44, has now won four of this season's eight events of the Delta Tour of Champions following wins in Brussels, Eindhoven and Monte Carlo.
