A's Harville, Duchscherer generating little interest...

The Oakland Tribune's Josh Suchon reports that the A's may have trouble finding a taker for Chad Harville or Justin Duchscherer. Both Harville and Duchscherer are out of options, so teams may choose to wait for them to hit the waiver wire rather than trade for them.

Diamondbacks may part ways with Estalella...

The Diamondbacks may have to say goodbye to catcher Bobby Estalella. The Arizona Republic's Bob McManaman reports that the Diamondbacks could decide to trade or waive Estalella once Robby Hammock returns from injury.

Kendall-to-Mariners deal unlikely....

The Tacoma News Tribune's Larry Larue reports that the Mariners are unlikely to trade for Pirates catcher Jason Kendall. The Mariners could use some help behind the plate, but Seattle's scouts think that Kendall would be better off playing in left field.

Ordonez may be ready to re-sign with White Sox...

The Chicago Tribune's Bob Foltman reports that the White Sox may be close to signing Magglio Ordonez to a multiyear deal. Ordonez is rumored to be seeking a five-year contract worth around $70 million.

Bowa, Phillies feeling the pressure...

Manager Larry Bowa and the Phillies are already feeling the heat. Although no one is calling for Bowa's head just yet, Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Phil Sheridan writes that the Phillies' 1-6 start will likely lead to "more pressure, more scrutiny and more questions".
