Thomas joins 400 HR club

CHICAGO -- Frank Thomas became the 36th member of the 400-homer club Friday night, connecting for the Chicago White Sox in the fifth inning against Tampa Bay.

Thomas pulled an 0-1 pitch from Jorge Sosa into the left-field seats in the fifth inning.

As Thomas touched home plate he pumped his fist in the air to the crowd. After greeting teammates in the dugout, Thomas came out for a curtain call.

Thomas became the second player this week to reach 400 homers. Houston's Jeff Bagwell reached the milestone Sunday.

Thomas has hit all 400 homers with Chicago, a franchise record.

Nice i bet he was over the moon when he hit it....Bagwell seems to have got his act together aswell after a bad start...

They hired Ozzie Guillen as their manager yesterday.
