New High-Res Color Photo of Cydonia Area on Mars

I must have spent the last hour or so staring at this photo. I dont know much about the Cydonia area, but is it me or was this whole place a huge cluster of islands around a died up ocean/dam??...anyway have a look its pretty interesting. Give it some time to load up its just over 2mb>>

I wonder why the ESA color photos look so "cartoonish" ?

You might be right about the island theory..
Scientists DO suspect that the Cydonia region, may have been a Coastal zone.
