Natural? I can think of a few...

Katrina In America
Mudslides in India
Tsumani in Asia
Earthquake in Pakistan

These have been probably the largest on the scale of casualties. Anyone else know others to add?

Umm, those aren't extinctions. An extinction is when an entire species dies out.

The 'Big 5' Extinction events:-

End Ordovician - 444 mya - 85% of all species
End Devonian - 367 mya - 70% of all species
End Permian (P/T Extinction Event) - 250 mya - 95% of all species
End Triassic - 208 mya
End Cretaceous (K/T Extinction Event) - 65 mya - dinosaurs etc

There have been numerous lesser extinction events as well.

Many scientists believe that we're currently in the midst of the 6th great extinction, which has been going on for the past few tens of thousands of years and is currently speeding up as a result of human activity.
