why is MS always written M$?

It is a long running joke.

M$ implies that Microsoft is really only interested in money$$$$$ not quality code.

If you disagree, look at all the service packs for operating systems and office and all other microsoft software.

BTW, another websirte the inquirer always refers to Microsoft as "the Vole"
