Ah, leave it to the media to get it wrong, the UK is interested in purchasing two MQ-9 Reaper UCAV's (formally known as the Predator B), along with numerous other support systems. The MQ-9 has a WAY better payload capability than the original Predator, while still maintaining impressive performance specifications and more advance sensors. It can carry 14 Hellfire II missiles, two 500 Lb GBU-12 II LBG's, AIM-92 Stinger (ATAS) missiles and one 500 Lb JDAM. Future integration of other weapons systems are also probable, AIM-120 and AIM-9 are just some of the possibilities.

Actually the MQ-9 is still known as the Predator (Predator B), it’s the USAF that calls it the Reaper.
