I heard the John Lennon song imagine, and I can't believe how much it sounds like the New World Order.
Here are the lyrics:

Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

What do you guys think??

I love the song, but I see where you can get that thought from.

BUT it brings Socialism to mind to me NOT the NWO per se`...

"Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world... "

Sounds like the FAILED experiments in the USSR, Cuba and China to me...

I DO like the part about "No religions too" though... VERY good idea... I beleive in a PERSONAL relationship with one's "God, Higher Power" or whatever you wish to call it/him/her...

PEACE...

It reminds me of the Jehoavahs Witnesses that come to my door singing this song. They are a wild bunch.

I agree with that one verse, but I think he's talking more about Heaven....Maybe? Not sure.

I can see how you could say that it sounds like the NWO, but when you take into account what John Lennon was about, I don't see it that way.

Basically I think he was talking about a world without war and violence, and without the things that cause war and violence, i.e. countries, religion, and greed.

I.E Heave on earth ( if that's what you mean ) I agree. But don't think there is any such thing.

Yup, peace and harmony here. It will probably never happen, not in any of our lifetimes.

I believe he is talking more about spiritual peace among people. He was into the Hare Krishna and Indian religions. There is more on this at this website

"In September 1969 Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement, arrived as a house guest at Tittenhurst Park, John Lennon's estate in England. 1969 was for John Lennon a year of intense search for social and personal liberation. He had already been to the Maharishi and later would enter primal therapy and left-wing politics. He was in a major transitional period; he had married Yoko Ono in March, and His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (09-04-03)"

There's no such thing because nobody "imagines". That's the whole point of the song. He was singing about a utopian society. The ideals behind socialism and communism, as well as the reason that so many people support the NWO, are born from the desire for a utopian world. Unfortunately, it can never work with the human species. We are too concerned with getting what is ours, rather than being concerned with the good of mankind as a whole. If we could be compassionate, honest and sincere without it being forced on us, we would find ourselves in a voluntarily socialist world without even realizing it. And it would be a good thing.

Human nature being what it is though, is to selfish to voluntarily adopt such a perspective, so that kind of world would only end up oppressive and contrived. With the rich controlling the poor, just like they do now.

Sounds to me like subtle humanism to me for the most part. Friggin hippy. I do like:

"Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world."

You saw this in early Christian communities. So see this on the smaller scale in various religious orders too.

Give Me Some Truth

ALBUM Imagine (1971)

LYRICS Im sick and tired of hearing
Things
From uptight-short sighted-
Narrow minded hypocritics

All I want is the truth
Just give me some truth

Ive had enough of reading
Things
By nuerotic-pyschotic-
Pig headed politicians

All I want is the truth
Just give me some truth

No short haired-yellow bellied
Son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard
Soft soap me
With just a pocketful of hope
Money for dope
Money for rope

Im sick to death of seeing
Things
From tight lipped-
Condescending -mommies little
Chauvinists

All I want is the truth
Just give me some truth

Ive had enough of watching
Scenes
Of schizophrenic - ego - centric
- paranoic - prima - donnas

All I want is the truth
Just give me some truth
