Fox radio says something about "car blown outside the embassy".

George Noory called the embassy on air...
Nobody picked up the phone.

As information comes out the thing does not look good.

The US accuses Syria of funding and equipping Hizbollah.

One could argue that the US would start to blame the Syrian government for letting this happen, have these terrorists been afiliated with any group as of yet?

Give the dead gunmen their 72 virgins.
They won't be trying to attack anyone ever again.

Not everyone in the Middle East is evil, and it would be a huge tragedy if they all died.

Many people just try to go about their lives and try to make a living to raise a family.
Most of the people in that part of the world really aren't that different from those of us in the western world.

Latest according to CNN is that it was a a carbomb attack, and that the carbomb failed to detonate. Syrian security troops killed three of the four assailants and wounded the fourth - putting the US in the unusual position of owing the Syrians a big "thank you."

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

I heard pretty much the same thing, except that the Syrians defused the bomb. Just one more reason for a vote of gratitude to them, imo.

Apparently, the last time a terror group tried to set itself up in syria, without permission of the government, the older Assad killed them and around 20,000 other people hanging around them.
