Columbian Cops Tape Two Children Being Raped

Police officers are being investigated for allegedly shooting a video of two girls being sexually abused by a man, evidence they intended to use against him in court but which instead sparked a public outcry after the tape was released to the media.

The alleged abuse of the two girls, both under the age of 11, took place in Momil, 330 miles northwest of Bogota, police said. It was not clear when the crime took place

(Columbian) President Alvaro Uribe sharply criticized the officers' decision to not intervene while the minors were forced into sex, as well as their decision to then publicly release a tape of the crime.

While I agree that the rapist should be thrown in a cell and the key thrown away..I also believe the same should happen to th police officers involved.

For a law enforcement officer to sit idlely by while a rapist assaults two kids under twelve, all the while filming it, is despicable, whether or not they were planning on using it for evidence or not.

With the way cops in Columbia are corrupt and dirty, my guess is that they intended the tape for personal use, or to make money off it from the massive child porn trade.

That's astonishing - then again I don't have particularly high expectations of the colombian police.

Although ours do occasionally shoot the wrong person we are, over all, quite lucky I suppose
