CIA operations in Iran

Not current operations, but a serious question nonetheless. How did the CIA backed coup in Iran in the 1950's affect their, and the MUslim world's position towards us today. Although none of the people who were in power than are alive today, due to the revolution of the 70's, the waves from that must certainly be felt today, especially in a diplomatic sense. What are your thoughts on this, I'd be very interested to see them
