I'm thinking the new way of downing a plane is by using chem. agents to debilitate the pilots.
Kind of like those d*** soda bottle bombs the kids are so fond of these days.

Does anyone know if they have chem. detection equipment on-board aircraft. The way the terrorists seem to be "bumbling" somewhat these days, it might not be a bad idea.

According to the Dutch television 12 people exchanged mobile phones and behaved suspiciously. Other passengers therafter informed the cabine crew, which did the pilot decide to return to Amsterdam.

No official statement has been made by the Dutch ''homeland security'' yet, so we cannot draw a conclusion yet. I'll keep track of developments on the Dutch television and update you.

Personally, I don't think too much happened but we will see. The escort of fighter jets is a standard security measure implemented after 9/11.
