What's This Obsession With The Virgin Mary ?

It seems some people will see the Virgin Mary in just about anything.

Workers at Angiano's gourmet chocolate company, Bodega Chocolates, discovered under a vat a 2-inch-tall column of chocolate drippings that they believe bears a striking resemblance to the Virgin Mary.

Since the discovery Monday, Angiano's employees have spent much of their time hovering over the tiny figure, praying and placing rose petals and candles around it.

This is just the latest, but over the years I've seen people pray to trees, windows, sandwiches, and even roadway bridges because they think they see the Virgin Mary.

I think this bitten bit of grilled cheese sandwich was sold on Ebay.



It always amazes me when a stain on a piece of glass attracts so much attention.
Granted this one looks pretty good.





But people set up a shrine below this one on a hospital window.




Are people really that gullible or desperate.
If the Virgin Mary really wanted to appear to the masses you would think she could do a bit better than drip into a 2 inch piece of chocolate or fry herself onto a bit of toast.

It seems very strange that people could take these thing a sign of anything.

People are desperate but more than that they desire to worship something VISIBLE. People blindly pay homage to things....material things like rocks, trees, animals, etc.

Take an item like a tortilla where you see an "image" like Mary and suddenly the Hispanic community, which are mostly Catholic, consider it to be a "sign" and it's to be venerated, It can cure people, bless people and protect them...all from a tortilla...or whatever other item whether it be a window pane or spilled ice cream. All around the world this happens but what makes this truly ridiculous is nothing like this ever happens in Scripture.

Mary is dead. She is blessed among women BUT she can't save anyone, she doesn't appear to people, doesn't cry tears nor is she to be venerated or worshipped. We have no poloroid shots of Mary, no paintings of her so if she did appear how would we know it's her?? Because people have been painting for hundreds of years now what they THINK....I repeat, what they THINK Mary would look like so it has become ingrained in our memory. The smallest resemblance to that image in anything and the religous zealots come out of the woodwork and claim the item in question a "miracle" and it becomes a shrine!!

Ever notice how Mary takes on the physical attributes of whatever country she suppossedly visits? In Mexico she is no longer Middle Eastern but looks Hispanic. Same in Brazil or Spain....even her dress changes.

In Europe she has light skin and hair with blue eyes. How utterly ridiculous! This is why God left no pictures of Himself as Yeshua behind. People would worship the picture. Look how people seek after a piece of the cross or the commotion made over the "Shroud of Turin" or the Holy Grail.

bringing Mary on their level to the 'silly' Human Beings who haven't realized that Maria is the Mother of all of Creation and can appear in any dimension as anything/shape that she so feels like being..... Mary is Immaculate any can be into anything and it has no 'power' over her also she can change 'things'...

Let the 'dead' bury the 'dead', wake up and try to communicate with Mary on all levels and multi-dimensional levels... and give up ones arrogance and being jealous and get to know Mom/Sis... the greatest Creature and you know old JC said if your the greatest, you have to be the 'servant' of all, so let the 13yo + Madonna do her 'FIT-MOM' thing and straighten out all the 'unfit moms and dads' from their slavery...
