I just visited the www.themis.asu.edu site & had a look at the scrolling vision from the live from Mars link dated 31/7/06 which is the latest they have.
About 30 seconds into the scroll I noticed what appear to be two parallel tunnel entries at the base of a cliff with.
location given when I paused scroll was 71.6 degrees E 31.5 degrees N.
Is this a processing error or something else?

Can you provide a link that works?

Try this link

If that doesn't work, then copy and paste themis.asu.edu... and plug it into google, then click the 'live from mars' link at the bottom left. I assume that you then click on the right arrow untill you reach the July 41st, 2006 entry.

Here is an Image search for the THEMIS imager. I could not find the image you are talking about on this, which would provide a higher resolution image, or take a screencap of it on the LIVE from mars section of the webpage, if you please

When you roll over the image, a pair of arrows will appear in the lower left corner..scroll to the left or right and the date changes, though maybe Magyar could tell us which way he went..

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay but some things can't wait.
Anyway I scrolled right for about 10 seconds and there they were.

Ahhh....those 10 seconds of yours depend on your connection speed...it's not the same if you have a 256kbps or a 1Mbps connection...
