The Russian state froze a controlling stake in oil giant YUKOS on Thursday in a dramatic escalation of a confrontation between the Kremlin and big business. Within an hour of the move by judicial authorities, President Vladimir Putin was reported by Russian news agencies to be in a meeting with foreign investors at the Kremlin. There was no immediate comment from Putin on the day's events. YUKOS has been the target since early July of legal action by the Russian justice authorities

YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS ?

"look mommy, russias going backwards." said little Boris
"no it's not honey," said his mother, "it's going forward."

WHICH WAY IS IT GOING?

Back to SOCIALISM?

Or forward towards ENDING CORRUPTION (monopolies)in big business?

IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT THEY DO WITH THE 44% OF THE SHARES

Yeah I didn't like this story either, it sent chills down my spine.

Just goes to show you that lefties when they feel threatened they will cheat to win.

They don't like the idea that they may be out of jobs soon as people decide to try annother system.

I know that this guy is a criminal and all but still there is not need to seize control of this company so fast.

I think that part bosses want some of the money and maybe they fear foreign ownership of the industry in the long run.

Welcome to capitalism Russian style LOL!
