$50,000 that none of those Mullahs would send their kids to a war or risk their own asses. I'm taking bets......

Well then that means the would have alot in common with the leaders of our own nation

Seriously, all Iran has to do is send their troops into Iraq, where they will greatly outnumber the coalition forces, as well as have the support of the locals in the front of Muslim liberation. They have a new satellites, this is for watching enemy movements. Thats gives them close to the same advantage we have (except we got alot more satellites). It doesnt matter how good your tanks or body armor is if your convoy is outnumbered 5-1 with similar/formidabble technology. As far as airforce goes, have fun trying to get those advanced fighter jets home after they have dropped their payloads. They wont be refueling in Iraq. All the pipelines will be destroyed, and the airfields overrun. In order to take out the ground forces our air will be vulnerable to their jets, and vica-versa.

It is a losing battle that should not be engaged in. We wouldnt even be able to fund the first week of it.

Will never happen. Why? Because Iran's army is poorly trained, with poor communications and leadership, inferior equipment, plus Israel is in the neighborhood and could easily backup any initial gain. 100,000 means squat- Japan has an army of less than 1/2 million people and can take on North Korea any day.

apparently, 3 new systems were displayed during the parade:

one was a radar-evading long range UAV that could fly as far as 600 kms and could engage in air-to-air battles or something like that. I guess it is for kamikaze missions.

the second one was a UAV for ECCM ops (2 c's). NO IDEA!?

the last one and the most significant system ( that's how the iranian military guy put it), could jam any long range, or cruise missiles that are guided by GPS and other guidance systems. he went on to say that this new system is mobile and is mass produced and that Iran is the only country that has such system.

Anyone could comment on the significance of the last system?

KEEP IT REAL

hey bud! guess what, nice war mongering youve got going there! i mean, hell, way to raise peoples opinions on you if your gonna keep on spewing stuff about a war with america, believe it or not, most people say a war shouldnt HAPPEN, i mean, im sure you'd be hella proud if your side got millions killed by the firepower in iraq.

Yeah the last system. It's is infact very easy to jam GPS and other radio signals. The electronics design is very simple for a country like Iran, Russia or china.

Infact you can even donwload the designs for a very basic GPS jammer of the net.

here's some explenation
www.phrack.org...

obviously the millitry version is more immune to jamming so you have to have a more powerfull and more advanced design the russians have many different jammers some where even used in Iraq if Iran reverse-engineered the design they could have put it into a an aricraft UAV which just cricles around an area that you send it too while jamming signals.

It's pretty simple and becuase data is sent in frames/packets in data communications and GPS is no different you dont really need to jam 100% of the signals just enough to render the data frame/packets useless.

Normally when a system recives data it would check with a checksum the data it recives and if it is incorrect it will ask for a re-send of the data. But some modern advanced systems that can actually re-construct data errors using error correction codes a simple system would be like a "block check code" or "Hamming code" which can be used to correct errors but only a few bits a Millitry GPS would use this type of system but obviosuly a much more robust and advanced error checking system then the types that i described.

But even then with a 25%-50% jamming of the data the information is gone and unrecoverable becuase the data packet becomes useless.

The system is easy to make and mass-produce to jam signals. This has huge implacations on western forces becuase the majority of pressison guided weapons used by western forces are eaither laser guided or GPS while the laser is more immune to jamming it has a limited range while Iran has some very dangerous SAM's which would destory any aircraft That comes close especially since they purchased the Tor-m1.

Also the Iranians have the S-200 with a range of 315km this means that GPS would be required to destroy targets with preccision while being a safe way away from the S-200 SAM's and possibly the HAWK SAM's.

America really needs the GPS system to be working especially considering some of the most dangerous Bucker Buster munitions that america needs to use are all GPS guided and for america to be able to use the laser guided versions it would be dangerously close to the deadly SAM's that Iran has like the S-200, Improved HAWK's, Tor-M1, Rapiers, RBS-70, Misagh 1 & 2 etc...

You know if you had ever actually served in the military you would see how silly and ignorant your post is.
Any sats that Iran has are no where near as good as the ones we have. Also Iran DOES NOT have similar level of tech when it comes to armor or weaponry. Also we would not be outnumbered 5-1. But even if we were, I suggest you look up the battle of 73 eastings from desert storm so you can see just what an advantage the US holds over Iran.
As for our aircraft, even if somehow someway a miracle happened and we couldn't refuel in Iraq, we have these aircraft called a KC-135 in air refueler.

Please try to learn a little bit about the military before making such silly posts.

Missiles such as the tomahawk cruise missile use terrain mapping guidance systems. They do not rely on gps to hit pinpoint targets. On-board the missile are sensors that track the terrain allowing the on board computer with a pre programed map to guide the missile along its path to the intended destination and target.
www.softwar.net...
Russia sold several gps jammers to IRAQ and when they were used they were quickly eliminated by the USAF .
Most guided weapons have Internal navigation systems. While gps helps make the weapons slightly more accurate GPS jamming systems are not some kind of holy grail that shuts down all guided weapons. When gps jammers are switched on they light up on the gps radio frequency. Making them glow in the dark so to speak. Making a very easy target!!

Iran doesn't have a chance in a high tech war with the US. A low tech urban guerrilla war is where Iran would be more successful.
