I may be wrong but is this not annother step towards socialism?
Where a child does not come from a family or even can identify its parents. But maybe has many parents. It is societies child, the perfect socialistic
citizen?
What about genetic selection and breeding the perfect child?
I can see large groups of people being used to seed children because of their superior genes and many other people ruled as inferior and thus not
used.

No, it's hardly a step towards socialism. Socialism is already here... and it didn't involve babies or in-vitro fertilization techniques.
I wonder if the men would feel differently about it if instead of using a donor egg, if they'd worked with donor sperm and gave a man's weaker sperm
more ability to fertlize an egg by taking the genetic material out of a more vigorous sperm and putting the guy's genetic info into the sperm.
In either case, it's actually a two-genetic parent child. The egg donor didn't contribute any genetics, just the surrounding part of the egg. The
genetic material comes from just two parents.
VERY bad job of interpretation on the reporter's part, and a nice find for some research I'm doing. I'm presenting a paper at an upcoming
conference (next spring) where I'm going to point out to my colleagues the need to write a nice summary of things In Plain English and make sure that
gets published.
