I listen to too much music from here in the uk and feel i have exhausted it.
I know there is alot of good music from here which doesnt get abroad, which got me thinking their must be mountains of great music out there which never makes it into my cd collection.

So if you have any bands or artists from any genre or age from ANYWHERE in the world which you think is worth a listen and has not passed international borders, post the details here so we can expand our horizons
and i can download (legally of course) your recommendations.

To start the ball rolling a band which i think is great who have done well in the uk but i dont think have done any great shakes anywhere else yet are bloc party and i would recommend you listen to banquet.

Cheers
Walter

Wimme Saari from Finland is interesting.

A quick search gave me this page where you can listen to some for free. I´m sure you will be able to find more if you search.

Also a swedish band called Hedningarna has some interesting stuff.

Wimme Saari i would never assosciate with finland, its more tribul like sacred chant. Downloaded three tracks good to listen too when you want to calm down.

Theres a British guy called Seth Lakeman who makes some really powerful folk music which you might be interested in. Cant find any previews on the web though only on i tunes.
