Man kills dog and Wife with the same Knife

While doing some web browsing I ran into this story where a man Killed a dog for the purpose of burning the dogs oil, and the wife got mad so the man killed her too.

I'm not sure where this story goes in ATS but I wanted to share and know what was the purpose of the oil burning???
