Well the best i could ever manage was some hot seat gaming against people who were not nearly as interested as myself. If anyone ever played, and loved, the game do contact me so we can work out a way to play it. If you do not have it anymore i can arrange something....

Is it on PC or? Im guessing its something like Mechwarrior?

A modification for it now exists that allows true direct connection multiplayer. It works great and they are slowly developing from the original platform.
