Hi,
PROPOSAL:
Set up a sub-forum within the Aircraft projects forum called Aerospace Think Tank Projects to make certain projects official ATS projects, thus
encouraging member contributions.
BACKGROUND:
There is a very good project under way involving ATS members in the Aircraft Projects sub-forum. It surrounds conceptualizing a future unmanned strike
fighter. Example threads:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...
The project was originally conceived by a community called “Aerospace Think Tank” who are in no way rival with ATS and contribute much,
particularly artwork, to the aircraft forum here.
The project involves conceptual designing, analysis, 3-d modeling, artwork and quality technical debating –so lots of skills needed. BUT, we are
suffering from insufficient member input. At the moment relatively few members seem to have the confidence to contribute (going by the high thread
viewing figures, it’s not just that it’s boring, lol).
The project is already bringing more technical knowledge to the board and spreading information on
WHY and
HOW things work. Enhancing
its status can make it even better.
As a minor condition, I think it’s appropriate to allow Aerospace Think Tank to retain a hand and identity in the project etc.
