harrier biggest mistake for us

was watching the wings channel or was plane of war any how they were showing how the US adapted the harrier design for the marines and so forth.

intresting part i found was they crashed a 3rd of them in non combat because in experinece aka few flight hours
since they were hard to maintain

question how many did they get?

They're being license built by Boeing in the US, so it's not a question of how many they got. The thing of it was they started with their best pilots, and when they didn't have trouble, they said "Shoot! This thing is easy to fly, anyone can do it!" and put less experience pilots in it, which is when they started crashing like flies in a cloud of bug spray.
