I'm gonna take a wild guess here, I think you may be meaning strategy:

1. The science and art of using all the forces of a nation to execute approved plans as effectively as possible during peace or war.
2. The science and art of military command as applied to the overall planning and conduct of large-scale combat operations.

education.yahoo.com...

So, I will edit the title to reflect the correct spelling.

Lol, I had a feeling that I mispelled it too, I guess I'm not as good of a speller as I thought. Thanks for editing the title, maybe now my cousin and I will attract more people to this thread.

edit: at least now I won't ever forget how to spell stredegy, er, I mean strategy, ya.............

Populous: The Beggining is a great game. You cant download the full game for free, but I do have a link to the demo, three levels that will give you a taste of what the full game is like. If you like it, I suggest buying the full game on Amazon. The best thing about the full version is the online play, and all the spells you can have. Anyways, try out the demo first, see what you think. BTW When you download it, be sure your downloading off the free public servers.

Heres the link: www.fileplanet.com...:-The-Beginning

Enjoy!

Populous....there is a game that brings back memories...Bloody hell..

Thanks for the tip, going to look it up now...

As for the original poster, is it RTS you like or the slower paced "God" strategy games like Civ?

I am guessing you like RTS's as you stated you like fighting. Most are all the same standard model, it just depends on what weapons you fancy sending in a mindless wave at the enemy base. Not a fan myself of the latest RTS's. But some of the latest are "ok", just rehashed of the originals from years back.

Personally, I prefer Grand Strategy games like Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis, Civilisation, Rome TW(that, you might like)...

Of course if you play FallofEmpires, then Dancing Banana Dojo is the clan to be.

As for PC games, Stronghold Crusader (the first, not the second) is the most mesmorizing strategy game I've ever played.

Castle builder and war sim. The second is prettier but doesn't play as well.

My shmo cousin found another. MediWar I havn't really tested it out yet but so far it seems to be similar to Fall of Empires. In fact, I was offfered to be an officer of the first place leader 2 minutes after I joined. My cousin had the same luck. Oh, and RANT, it's becasue of BTS that I now play FoE, after I seen it mentioned somewhere, I found the thread on the dojo. I've supported it from the beginning, now I'm in it myself. I'm still going to try out the few stegty, a-hem, er, I mean strategy games mentioned here (I'm to lazy to do it now).
