No room at cemetery, so mayor in Brazil proposes a ban on death

BIRITIBA MIRIM, Brazil - There’s no more room to bury the dead, they can’t be cremated, and laws forbid a new cemetery. So the mayor of this Brazilian farm town has proposed a solution: Outlaw death.

Mayor Roberto Pereira da Silva’s proposal to the town council asks residents to “take good care of your health in order not to die” and warns that “infractors will be held responsible for their actions"

Well, this is definately weird...


Maybe we should all go there and be safe from the grim reaper.

Gee, maybe they should outlaw hunger too. Anyone caught with a rumbling stomach is forced to eat a steak dinner.

Resident: Hi, meet my grandma.

Guest: Um, she's dead..

Resident: She can't be, we don't do that round here, it's against the law.

:-) That is too hilarious. Maybe my family and I should pack up and move down there. Put up signs outside the city limits. No to the Grim Reaper.
