Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has decided to quit the Likud party and set up a new party. This was reported just now from Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is set to quit his ruling Likud party and run separately in next year's elections, Israeli army radio reports.

Many in Likud opposed Mr Sharon's decision to pull out of Gaza and parts of the West Bank earlier this year.

I don´t know what to make of this but I thought some of you would like to hear this news. Apparently his decision to pull out of Gaza was not welcomed by everyone in Likud...
