Javier Solana - candidate for Antichrist or setting the stage for the Beast

Are you American or Canadian? Ever here of Javier Solana? If not, its not surprising, there seems almost a coordinated effort to not mention him on this side of the Atlantic.

There was so much good info floating around on this man, but what seems to be almost a news blackout of his coming and goings, I thought it deserved its own topic.

And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate (Daniel 9:27 New America Standard Bible).

It is commonly believed the passage above foretells the rise of a strong leader from out of a revived Roman Empire who will make, or confirm, a covenant with the many for seven years. Israel will be included in this covenant. As far as Israel is concerned, he will violate his covenant 3 1/2 years later. In other passages from Daniel, we learn this leader will rise from among a 10-nation alliance (Daniel 7:7-8) and subdue three of the 10 kings (Daniel 7:24). In the New Testament book of Revelation, we learn that this leader will somehow be identified with the number 666 (Revelation 13: 18).

In December of 1998, at their Vienna summit, the EU's heads created the new Office of High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy for the European Union. The holder of this Office would direct their common foreign policy toward Russia, Ukraine and the Mediterranean. Out of over 1150 documents they generated at the summit, the document that created this Office happened to be numbered 666.

On June 5, 2000, the WEU adopted its Assembly Recommendation 666. This document recommended keeping the 10 Brussels Treaty Powers together as the EU's new military wing and giving the EU's High Representative emergency powers over the whole EU, putting the office holder over the EU presidency.

In March of 2005, one year after the Madrid train bombings, world leaders met in Madrid to discuss the EU's and the international community's war against terror. The EU decided the U.S. war was going no where, nothing much had been accomplished over that last year. It was noted that the EU member states were reluctant to give Solana what he needed to get the job done. What this really meant was, the EU "big three" -- France, Germany and the UK -- were still standing in Solana's way. In other words, in order for Solana to do his job leading the EU's foreign and security policy, the EU "big three" must somehow be subdued. (See Bible quote above) Interestingly, the EU "big three" leaders were all on the scene in 1999 when the Office of High Representative was first occupied by Solana. And, they were all members of the 10-nation alliance. These 3 super countries could very well be the three kings who are destined to be subdued according to Daniel 7:24?

I'll even throw out some wild ideas, tell me what you think? If this turns out to be true and with the new financing Solana gets next year at the start of his 7 year period, we should see him make some big strides in bringing peace to the middle east. I also wonder about some of the other things that seem to be sparked by this same belief. The Catholic church for one seems to have come to the conclusion that the start of the Tribulations are just ahead and that the church must now work out its battle plan. You see it in how this latest global war seems to methodically be ramping up with no real way to end it. You see this in how fundamental freedoms we all grew up with, are being locked away for our "safety".

If anyone has any more good information on Solana or indeed on specific news and goings on that relate to a move towards the end times, please post.

I think I've throw his name out here and there when it's appropriate, but no one really seems interested in hearing about him. Funny because he's one of the most powerful people on the planet. Yet, somehow he manages to stay out of the evening news. Actually if you look around you'll see his name everywhere.

Indeed the disproportionate amount of world power this man holds and his being off the radar of most of the world is just incredible. He also comes from a long line of movers and shakers. Clinton's national security advisor Sandy Berger, briefing reporters at the White House in 2000, said the EU "is increasingly a partner of ours on security. Henry Kissinger used to say he wished he had one phone number to call in Europe to find out what Europe's foreign policy is. Well, now there is, it's Javier Solana, and his phone number is 322-285-5661." Why aren't more people talking about him? Especially since he or at least his post in the EU looks prime for the AC?

As for my statement about the Catholic Church preparing for the end of days. I really have no specific documentation on this. If anyone does find any please post it here. What I do know is that John Paul spent a lot of time in conference with his most trusted towards the end of his life. We also can surmise if not confirm that one reason the new pope was a lock-in was that he was sure to continue the direction of JP. The Church is coming to terms with massive corruption and sin in its own ranks, as well as sin of denial and turning a blind eye to said corruption. The priesthood is in tatters and the Holy Orders are dangerously understaffed. Being Irish, I tend to believe that Malachy's prophecy are real. I know the arguments about them being constructed after the fact, but the church itself seems to put stock in them so who am I to judge? Anyway, there is only one listing after this pope in Malachy's prophecy and that is either a man, Peter the Roman or the rock of Rome (Petros Romani). Either way its clear from that prophecy that after that the beast and the false prophet will sit on the throne of the world church. There are also scattered stories. Again any help in finding good references would be appreciated. Of JP failing to exorcise a young girl of demons and of the church recently starting clases on exorcism for the priests who work in the Vatican. I suppose what I am getting at its that if you look and read whats going on in Rome at the moment you see a fundamental shift. Now sure you could say its just the death throws of a detriorating church, but I have a feeling a close examination over time will show something much more organised is going on. Anybody got any references?

During this period, the governing bodies of the EU gave him power to consolidate emergency managment powers and the authority to meld together civilian and military operations. By the end of the 10 days, he had control of a couple positions and was appointed head of NATO.

He wields scary power and seems to have the Middle East peace process as a favorite brain child. I am sure that current treatises regarding the enrichment of uranium in Iran, among other agreements are run through his office.

The EU is the counterpunch to the unilateralism of the US. Eventually, the dollar will collapse, American military/economic influence will dwindle away to pre-WWI levels (not without large-scale military conflict), and the EU will slide in as the new global hegemony that wields its own power through the global standard Euro and the geographically convenient NATO. Eventually, they will have a citizenry of 500+ million people and a polished reputation for putting out both the political and military fires that the US starts.

Once this happens, the call will be great for global equalization among the different nations based upon the Europen model of peace and safety. And what will be left is a socialist EU, largely non-religious (except for the growing New Age Mov't of "energies" and "inner self". Lord Maitreya, through the British organization Share International and Benjamin Creme, its spokesman (query their website), will gain favor with the largely humanistic populace of Europe and quickly gain influence. Together with the new political power structure of the EU, the two philosophies (one-world religion and one-world government) will come together as a new sort of Holy Roman Empire which the US will be in no position to resist.

Of course, this is all speculation. But in all, given the current state of political, economic, and military affairs, it is all too possible. For a decent website linking this scenario to the prophecy of Revelation, I recommend:

Sweet. Since there are over a thousand documents, it's pretty evident there will be one numbered 666. There is also a UN security council resolution 666, US sante bill 666 and so on. They won't skip numbering because of superstitious or downright religiously paranoid people. Solana has no real powers within the EU and even if he had, it's not like the EU is a real power anyway. The text can be read online here. It's not a world shocker but just another boring document.

Apparently your missing a couple of points here. It didn't just happen once, but twice a document was created using those numbers to give this man more power. Care to figure the odds on that?

Now the statement that he holds no real power is just silly. Look here, he currently holds three positions....

Office of High Representative - Which gives the ability to direct foreign policy, as well as emergency powers to take over in a crisis. Gives him access to play politics externally.

Secretary General of the Council of Europe - Puts him of at the head of one of larger decision making bodies of the EU, also giving him access to play politics internally.

Secretary General of the 10-nation WEU alliance - Making him the defacto Commander in Chief of the EU combined military. Also makes him more powerful than the EU president.

If the WEU is the resurected Roman Empire then who do you suppose would be the new Ceasar?

The Council of Europe is not one of the larger decision making bodies in the EU but more of a talking club that produces a lot of paperwork which has little significant impact. It's budget is only 186,012,700 Euro.

Good catch, I wasn't being specific enough. Theres more than one High Representative of whatever department. Yes Lord Ashdown is the High Representative of the International Community. Solana is the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy. Speaking of Lord Ashdown and Solana, did you know they both have very close ties with the world bank organization?

The Council of Europe has been one of the movers and shakers in EU politics for years. It set the rules for and administers amogst other things the European Court of Human Rights which has recently been stepping over the indivdual high courts of europe to make legally binding pronouncements on human rights challenges within the EU. In essense it acts very much like a Supreme Court over all the EU states.

Wow you make my case perfectly, not only does Solanas have basically most of the power of the Executive Branch, but has tremendous power in the Judicial and Legislative Branch as well.

I'm sure that makes 'em tremble in Washington, Moscow and Bejing, just from hearing the name alone.

If you don't think the combined UK, German, French, Spanish and Greek Armies is a force to be feared then let me remind you that at least three of those countries have the bomb.

But who is actually in charge? Most people in Europe can't even answer that question. Is it this Salana person? I know I've heard the name o T.V. a time or two.

I am withholding judgement on wether Solana is or isn't the AC, but the position and power he holds would be perfect for what the AC has to do. If Solana isn't the AC then he is preparing the way for him.

Is anyone can find any non-canon prophecy of the beast that might pertain let me know.

There's an old saying that you can bring a horse to water, but not make a horse drink. That's the way I feel about the way some are handling the recent news. In fact, it astonishes me sometimes how people can find a way to evade the apparent.

Before I get into the recent news, let's back up a bit. Let's look at the whole picture.

In 1948, Israel was reborn as a nation. Was this a sign of Christ's return? Some would say it wasn't, because there are no signs associated with Christ's return. It's just going to -- boom -- happen. I think it was a sign -- a big one.

Then, in 1950, with the Shuman Declaration, the old Roman Empire began to revive. Some would say this was a sign of Christ's return. Other would say it wasn't.

In 1995, the Western European Union became an alliance of 10 nations. Some would say this was a sign of Christ's return. Others would say it wasn't.

On November 19, 1995, a man by the name of Javier Solana became the Secretary General of the 10-nation alliance. Just the month before, he became Secretary General of the Council of the European Union, and the first High Representative of the EU's common foreign and security policy. These new offices -- both in the 10-nation alliance and in the EU -- are directly connected with the number 666. Some would say this was a sign of Christ's return. Others would say it wasn't.

Have been following the fulfilled prophecy site for almost 2 years now. Like someone else mentioned the site owner has been watching Solana like a hawk for a while now. I have only heard his name mentioned a couple of times, all recently on MSM news sources. Today is the first time that I have seen him in person on MSM in the center of the story as the person presenting a peace/appeasment plan to Iran the (Big Story guy on Fox today named and showed video). Seems like he has been in Israel recently as well. Whatever this guy may be or become he is worth watching because he is a career beaurocrat who unelected by any group of people weilds enormous power (former Sec general of NATO, EU high commisioner for common foreign policy, and a couple of more that may be current or past offices) there is some great info and discussion about him on the mentioned website. I've been following it for a while as a lurker and no one else is talking about the WEU, med common security policy, and how all this relates to the mideast. I was actually quite surprised to see him on TV and in action stage center of the world scene today.

Well , the antichrist is to meant to make peace (which Solana has done in Iran) and a peace deal with Israel (I believe Solana was involved in that too).

Now, (if the theory is true) we are currently in the 7 Year Tribulation
