It's not like they invented the filter, its just the combination of the two. Though incredibly simple, it could also have an incredible impact on the world, especially for those that need this item the most.

The fact that this has not been around as long as modern water filter devices amazes me! Yes, its simple, but how many lives could have been saved if we had this 10 years ago?

I don't think its the technology that is impressing people here. Its the potential for saving lives.

I was looking on that Cabela site and they're really is a bunch of things just like it already. The only difference is 5 dollars. Heck, they even have purifying bottles for your on-the-go-purification needs. What's so special about these new ones that aren't out for another year or so?

I can't seem to find anywhere to buy these anyone got a clue? I tried eBay and did a couple different searches but nothing.

Available now but not as cheap. Wonder what would save more life's this for a billion poor or industrial scale water filtration of the same value?
