The bomb squad has blown up an 8th grade students science project.
The science project was a metal pipe, with wires attached and a battery.
The bomb squad thought that it was a bomb soo..... the blew it up only to learn from a 10th grader that it was a normal 8th grade science project!
It was basically an electronic fishingrod used to pick up paperclips magnetically.
Even the pizza shop owner down the street knew what it was, he had just helped build one for his daughter.
