Return to Space and Beyond Ralley?

What would you guys think if there was to be a Return to Space and Beyond rally that took to the steps of washington DC, to get the attention that is needed to go back to the moon to make sure the human race will survive. If we just stay on earth the whole time and some diasater struck, we would be screwed big time. But if we were on the moon and in space. And a diaster struck, we could get off and make humaintys survival a reality.
I want to hear your opions, any opions would be great. Even if you flame me saying "We need to stay on earth, and learn about earth first...etc"

And maybe that rally will take place someday.
