Do Beam Weapons Exist?

Either they exist or there is a lot of paranoia on the Internet. Scientifically easy but morally destructive, they reduce every person's security.

You mean lasers? Lol all you really need is a good enough power source hooked up to a large capacitor bank. Or do you mean Particle Beam weapons?

I meant exceedingly directly used on people. I pray for security for everybody.

There are weapon systems like the T.H.E.L.S that are very real beam weapons. But they are designed to take out missiles, planes etc..

There is however various Microwave beam weapons in development to be used on humans as a les-lethal weapon system.

Fear not, for flying pieces of lead will remain much more lethal than any beam weapons we could think up, unless your dealing with intercepting ICBMs, in which case I hope you arent flying one of those.

They are very real, but only fit certain areas and are not the overall practical weapons modern firearms are.

how would any of us know, all people on the internet is assume such things exist and if they speak to maybe someone in the scientific areas or military they may have some info there.

but ask yourselfs this
since world war 2 we can speculate that the us have spent trillions of $ on top secret projects. what info does the public get to know about what new things are designed and made since ww2, the general public assumes that the last jump in technology was made 50 years ago, when they made the a bomb and h bomb. what info has the general public been told since then about weapons, only the stealth aircraft has been made public. there has been a few other tidbits here and there, but what has the us and russia nad other countries developed with all those funds. the public does not know. so all we can do is just speculate from tidbits here and there

you should also clarify your question do you mean directional energy weapons for use against people or things like particle beam weapons that would have many users.

also ask yourself this if in america you took peoples guns away and gave them directional energy weapons that have many uses to use against people(remember these would be undetectable), would not man use them against man.
so all you would need is some nutcase neighbour moved in next door, and they could use directional energy weapons against you all night and day for years and you could do nothing about it. it seems to me that if such things exist taking away peoples guns in a country like america would be useless because they would just have new weapons to use against the people they hate.(remember all specualtion though with regards to last two paragraphs)
