Surprisingly, no one seems to have asked this question? We are still in the middle of hurricane season AND a war on terror. Are you satisfied with how local, state and federal officials responded to Katrina's aftermath?

I'd like to share some opinions concerning what should change moving forward. This is NOT intended to be a political thread. I'm hoping for something more pragmatic.

How should such efforts be funded moving forward?
How should such efforts be organized?
What should we, the people, be asking of our government officials in a situation like this in the future?

I'd be interested in sharing some thoughts, if anyone is interested.
