Well, if that's the case you're not the only one looking psychotic. My husband is watching this on TV more closely, while I am here more. He came to the conclusion that this is entirely possible after watching the coverage since Monday.

Regardless of the reality, it could be easy for the government to add another nail to the coffin of this country's freedoms.

Oh, I agree. Both those things played heavily into this tragedy.

Seems those levees should have been better fortified YEARS ago and maintained.
And, civilians should have had a better evacuation plan. I dunno, like the mayor of NOLA commandeering buses to take people out.

I also wonder how many people may have gone BACK home once the eye passed and the storm lessened some.
