The BBC is saying that Charles Clarke, UK Home Secretary, thinks the two attacks on London are connected. Clarke says it 'would be very surprising' if they weren't linked to one another. He also says that that 'evidence' regarding the matter is an 'issue' they haven't managed to sort out yet. Mr. Clarke goes on to say that he remains 'worried' about further attacks on London. His fears are also echoed by Sir Ian Blair. The Independent posted a story on the 13 August, stating that the two attacks on London were NOT related to one another and that there was no proof linking them to al-Qaida. Not entirely sure who is right on this one, but it makes one wonder where they are getting their information from.

It would be "very, very surprising" if the two sets of London bombings in July were not connected, Home Secretary Charles Clarke has told the BBC.
But Mr Clarke said there was "not a direct linkage formally established".

His comments come after he said on Monday he remained "worried" about the possibility of further attacks.

That followed talks with Met Chief Sir Ian Blair, who has said the fact there were two attacks made further bombs "more, rather than less" likely.

First they aren't connected then they are connected. What is going on and why so much back and forth? This seems like a lot of hearsay and very little facts. If so, my question is why publish anything regarding the matter? Why not wait until you have hard evidence? Sounds like doublespeak to me. Here is the link to the article in the Independent.

What kind of news is this? Is this not just plain opinion disguised as news?
