Anybody here believe in the concept of Cryonics? If you don't know what it is, here is the definition:

The freezing of a seriously ill or recently deceased person to stop tissues from decomposing; the body is preserved until new medical cures are developed that might bring the person back to life

I know most scientists think Cryonics is more Science Fiction than serious science, but does anybody have plans to be frozen one day and come back in the year 3256. Ted Williams did, why don't you make arrangements, go ahead and call up your local "Cryonic Place".

Ted Williams did NOT choose to undergo any cryonics, his money grubbing son did it in an attempt to profit from his DNA. Cryonics as it exists today is totaly useless as it destroys the celular structure. Only DNA can be 'frozen' in such a manner, not a persons body or head. The Ice crystals that form rupture the cells. In its current state of technology.... it is totaly science fiction.

Currently, it's science fiction. But a couple of months ago, Scientific American published an article about suspended animation...it was very interesting. It mentioned hibernation and trying to develop technology around how the animal's tissues virtually froze. For example, the embryo of Artemia franciscana, commonly known as a sea monkey, can live for 5 years without food, water, or oxygen.
