Ok I'm not too sure were to put this, but I guess since it applies to policing I suppose it counts as a security issue. Anyhow I was wondering what you all thought about the concept of a national curfew, or just curfew's in general at a local level. Are they really nessesary in order to keep the peace? Or are they just another way of bringing us to being a police state?

Interesting that you brought this up.
When the last storm came through the Southeast a couple weeks ago (forgot the name already), several of the towns and cities imposed curfews. The very first one to do so in Southeast Alabama was my town. You'd think it must have been one bash, right? Well, my power was out for about 4 hours, and yeah, I had quite a bit to clean up in the yard the next day, but worthy of a curfew? I dare say not.
