Why did man create religions?
1.Because man became aware of his existence, and he became also aware of death. And was sad when a member of his tribe died (I'm talking about ancient
men). They also thought dreams were visions of another world, that they couldn't understand.
So the first tribal religions appeared, they burried and honored their dead, etc.
2.Because they fear death.Death is unknown, and men were always terrified by the unknown.Man is selfish, and doesn't wan't to accept his death,so he
believes in an afterlife, even if it's invented,it doesn't matter because it stops him from being anxious about death.
Men only believe in God(s) because they have a benenit in doing that (afterlife in heaven in christiannity, for example).
3.It's an easy explanation.God created everything.That's it.
Why can't people accept that we are just another living species? because it hurts their ego, they love the idea that we are superior to everything
else.
I can't see any reason why a superior being would create a universe and watch little humans killing each other in his name, except fun.
If God exists he is playing with us.
