Omega Agency

I've read a few articles recently concerning the Omega Agency and I've pretty much come to the conclusion that there's bugger all I can do to stop them if they choose to come to power. What I'm still undecided about is whether or not I would actually mind it happening. Some of the claims they are said to have made seem very promising but I would like to know what it will cost humanity if, or more probobly when, they get there way.

Does anybody have their own opinion on this?
