Two brothers and a woman from California have been held in the Imperial County Jail in El Centro under the suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. Officers stated that Michael Anthony Gonzalez, 19; Raymond Marquez Gonzalez, 22, and Rosa Adams, 22, are in custody and had felony warrants filed for their arrest by the Yuma County Attorney's Office. The victims apparently knew who their shooters were and the attack was not gang related.

The three are suspected of being involved in the shooting of Antonio Betancourt, 28, and Sury Betancourt, 24, at about 4:35 a.m. at 125 E. Cactus St. The Betancourts are corrections officers at Arizona State Prison Complex-Yuma.

"This is not gang-related," Quintero said. "The victims knew who the shooters were."

Quintero declined to speak about the motive for the shooting.

All three suspects are also being held on suspicion of two counts each of aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, Quintero said.

The three were arrested Wednesday at the U.S. Port of Entry at Calexico trying to enter the United States from Mexico. Quintero did not know what time they had been arrested, but he said it was not long after the shooting.

Another day another death. Shooting, gangs, murder, this is cropping up everyday and everywhere. The motives are currently not known and still under investigation. Well done for the workers at the U.S Port of Entry at Calexico as they were arrested only hours after the shooting.
