Spain's high court frees 9/11 suspect.

Spain's High Court freed on bail a Syrian man during his trial on accusations of mass murder for aiding the September 11, 2001 hijackers, a court official said today.

Ghasoub al Abrash Ghalyoun, 39, was freed on a bail of €50,000 ($63,000) but has to report to authorities daily, the official said.
The judges said there was a reduced risk of him fleeing, she added.

Ghalyoun is one of 24 al-Qaeda suspects on trial in Spain and one of three accused of aiding the hijackers who killed nearly 3000 people in the attacks on New York and Washington in 2001.
