The debate tournament only gets better! Two of the most respected debators on ATS square off in a classic match!

Please review this thread

www.abovetopsecret.com...

and vote for the debator who you felt created the most professional and convincing arguement.

The vote will remain active until midnight, August 2, 2003, at which time voting will close and be considered final.

A great debate.

John bull 1 has explained to me personally how I can use the interdimensional portal in my lounge room to escape to a warmer clime for a while.

That may or may not have influenced my vote.

Well done both of you.

Bravo, Bravo

You both did a wonderful job.
However, I loved John Bull's opening statement,
it was amazing.

Great work,

Not as many voters as I thought there would be... too bad. Maybe the big graphic with the debate on it should be updated to show people who's still in the game.

Otherwise, an excellent debate.

Wow, that was close... Especially since I figured I'd earn 20 'against' votes for declaring victory too early... Anyways, an awesome debate... Jon Bull was awesome and it took a LOT of focus and effort to debate him.

My lesson: Always assume the ATS clocks are set to Eastern Time!

I was sure that the wrath of the board would bury me for pointing out my "winning" score 20 minutes before polling closed. For the record, i realize that it;s bad form to point out that you've won, but I was paranoid that, ten minutes after polling officially closed at midnight, that people would keep voting (as the polls have no lockdown time). Yes, it seems overly competitive... But... I wanted to win.
