seem to be slowing in frequency and strength. Is this possibly a precussor to a much larger event, or, is this seismic phenomenon coming to an end for awhile? Hope it is the latter.

It has slowed a bit over its wild pace from a month ago. But there is still a running 30 day total of over 500 quakes measuring 4.0+

Northern Sumatra had another 6.3 quake on 4/28. Northern Sumatra has had 4 quakes of 5+ since 4/28. But a 6.3 is a big quake. This region has had 5 quakes of mag 6+ in the past 30 days.

Southern Sumatra has had 3 quakes of mag 6+. So I think 9 mag 6 quakes in 30 days for Sumatra as a whole is pretty darn active.
