No - I think you know that.

I'm an American with strong Scottish ancestry on my paternal side. Both of my paternal grandparents were born there and emigrated to the US in the late 1920's. I visited Scotland twice and was able to trace my lineage back quite a ways via Ancestry DNA and other historical records both here in the US and in Scotland.

So, when I say I'm proud to be a Scotsman, I mean I'm proud of my Scottish heritage - that's all.
