Phoenix, AZ is sinking 1/4 in. every year due to excessive groundwater pumping. Where else does this occur? When will the Ogalla aquifier empty? Can our excessive agriculture in the corn and grain belt continue if we don't have the groundwater to support it-let alone the fertilizer and fuel? We are shipping our grain, soy, and corn to world markets, along with all that water. Will water be more important than fuel in the next 10 years?

More like the next 30 worldwide, allthough the US Midwest is starting to feel it right now. I have not heard of anything like that happening in Canada but I hear it's a real problem in AZ(Have family down there in Sedona)

Pavement is another reason why they are not being repleneshed, drainage pits are not code I believe.
