I have a passing interest in what advances are being made in the useful quest for artificial intelligence.. The Doom porn purveyors say we are all one step away from Terminator Skynet while the actual researchers with caution say, "It will be a new exciting frontier for mankind." The video starts in China which is much future along the A.I. road than I thought they were and from there the developments in some of the leading labs in the USA.

A.I. self learning really is amazing and so far the sky (net) is the limit.

With advances in A.I. by different countries I personally can not see countries putting on the breaks of development unless they want to end up at the bottom of the A.I. Heep regardless of international agreements .

Leave it to 60mins to romanticize a real social credit score. "I dont see anyone without a phone. They can do everything with it like buy things, hail an unber, havev location tracked and logged 24/7 by your loving government thats only trying to keep you safe, all of ur money is in ur phone as a cbdc being kelt safe by the government bc u cant be trusted with all of ur own money.

On many levels I totally agree

Cannot watch the video in Australia. The impression is that AI is safe and effective. As for being safe for who and effective at what?

What happens when this AI can come up with cures for diseases like diabetes? Is big Pharma going let that roll or delete that one? What happens when the AI could of done all this amazing stuff, but was not economically viable. What kind of standard is this going to set for the rest of us and as it grows?

Will AI grow up a bit wonky and corrupt at times as the dollars push the decisions around? Will AI catch onto the games and use it as another way to get things done? With how places like Blackroack and Vanguard use AI systems in their accounting is working well for them.

Will there remain a separation of powers among AI systems or will all the smaller systems merge into one big one as it develops its own language and communication protocols? The internet is made to network, as for how entangled it is all to becomes? Do we travel to the stars or become star dust once again?
