Microsoft has new patches available to fix another round of critical flaws in many of its popular software titles. The flaws affect Windows, Internet Explorer, Exchange, and many others, giving an attacker complete control of a system.

Any malicious hacker who managed to do this would have complete control over the machine and could use this access to steal confidential information or use that machine as a spam forwarder or to attach other websites.

Gerhard Eschelbeck, chief technology officer of Qualys which found the flaw, said the bug could let an attacker interfere with net traffic to mount attacks on websites by cutting people off from those sites. These are known as Source Quench attacks.

This is another serious flaw, affecting almost the whole gamut of Microsoft products. The IP flaw that was announced could easily be exploited to bring down whole sections of the Internet. This has several of the world’s top security issuing warnings, for good reason. If you are using Windows, these critical updates should be installed immediately.

There are 5 critical patches available.

This is something you need to fix if you use Windows.
