See all the other countries in green besides China?

All the fishermen in all these countries have no problem the US Coast Guard wants to patrol these waters.

China wants the whole South China Sea for its exclusive use. That's fishing, oil, natural gas, minerals, and exploration all for China. Might as well turn all those countries Chinese if that happens

Thank god for the USA. Europe should be right up there, shameful theyre still with their heads up their asses acting as if China is not trying to become the fourth Reich.

These are International Waters.

The same "International Waters" Also applies to China and Russia.

Those waters arent American Empire owned

International law dictates how far away from the coast a country's border extends and where international waters begin. China is the only one being Imperialistic in this region. The American goal is to keep these waters free and open to China's neighbors for fishing and shipping reasons.

The job of the Coast Guard is to protect our coast. They should be patrolling for drug smugglers, illegal aliens, human trafficking, etc.

The job of protecting other country's waters is that of the country involved or the Unted Nations.

Not according to the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard has a robust international presence, including three permanent international units. Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA) is the Coast Guard’s largest unit outside of the United States

What is happening in Asia, Eastern Europe seems to be a bit of desperation from the US Hawkish Politicians.

So? We should allow China to break international law, harm the economies of other countries in the region, let the world become more dependent on China?

You would have thought the USA would have learned not to be dependent on foreign oil / trade from all the gas crises and the medicine and supply chain issues during covid.

Yes. The USA is stupid making countries rich that despise freedom. Not that the USA is treating its citizens any better these days. But I’m still more free and have a better quality of life than if I lived / worked in China. So far, I don’t have to worry about going to jail if I have a Bible or the Koran

China banned Bible and Quran apps in brutal crackdown on Christianity and Islam

www.express.co.uk...

Seems you are silent on what China Bans but outspoken when it comes to Ukraine?

Either you are for the same freedoms for all people, or you’re a hypocrite.

While China has five and ten year plans to take over the world…

Don't complain when the Chinese coastguard starts patrolling the Gulf of Mexico.

Or complain when they get sank when they harass cartel boats.

America is not claiming them. China is.

The US is simply upholding them as International Waters.
