Ok this has got to be an April Fool's day prank: eBaum's World

And when you view the Internet Mark II preview, it is obviously a flash animation and there is probably no such thing as Internet Mark II, though I haven't looked into it so I don't know for sure.

Any other ideas on this?

There is an 'Internet 2', which is basically a seperate highspeed network that links a lot of universities around the world. Its not directly accessable from our internet, you have to either have a pipe directly connecting you in to it or you need to be at a university. We are talking Gigabit pipes (round about 1000x a standard 1mb broadband connection these days) and some very cool routing tech.

However, that article is definately an April Fools
