Russia and China form of government....

Me and the wifey having a discussion...known Russia was communistic. Think they democratic now. And China is communistic. Had a good friend from Hungary and he was pro communism... If you're leaning towards that side of the isle I would think the Russian type "democratic governing way " however flawed) sounds far more "people friendly" than an outright communist government.
However China siding with Russia.
What would this marriage look like?

I don't think Russia or China are particularly "communistic".

- China is a dictatorship, run as a one-party state. It may be called the Communist Party, but actually it's just good old repression, alongside the centralisation of power and control.

- Russia is pretty much a dictatorship, run by a cliché of men with all the money.

Edit to add that Russia and China are friends because the turd of authoritarianism attracts the same type of fly.

That Russian style of government has a name: Kleptocracy. From the Greek "Kepto"--to steal.

Pure and simple. You can tack on titles like communism to try and make your Authoritarianism / Dictatorship sound like it is for the people but in the end it is always single party or a Dictatorship.

Leaving aside forms of government, it makes tactical sense for the second and third most powerful states to combine against the most powerful. Just as the most powerful, if it had any sense, would have befriended one of them as "the lesser of two evils", which was the Nixon strategy and the Roosevelt/Churchill strategy.

Interesting how many people call their political opponents in the west "China sympathizers" and "chicoms" , but hey, Russia cozying up to China is "cool" ?
